GMC Sierra 2500HD – need a shop that actually knows heavy-duty shock absorber service
I've got a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD that I use for towing a trailer around Abu Dhabi, and lately the ride has gotten incredibly bouncy when unloaded, and it sways more than it should with the trailer hooked up. I'm pretty sure the original shocks are worn out, but most of the general garages I've called just want to slap on whatever cheap gas shock they have in stock, not something rated for a heavy-duty truck. I've been looking for a proper gmc sierra heavy-duty shock absorber service that includes load testing or at least a recommendation based on my actual towing weight. Came across Suspension Repair Dubai's GMC page but I'm hoping to find something similar here in Abu Dhabi – does anyone know a local shop that carries Bilstein or Fox shocks for these trucks and can do the install correctly? Also curious if I should replace the leaf spring bushings at the same time. Any advice from other Sierra owners would be great.
