Plot summary
The film begins with Sadhu Agashe (Nana Patekar) living a peaceful life in Goa with his son Aman, after retiring from the Mumbai Encounter Squad. However, his former boss Pradhan (Mohan Agashe) convinces him to come back to Mumbai on the request of the home minister Jagirdar (Vikram Gokhale), who wants him to tackle the rising crime rate in the city. Sadhu agrees to lead the encounter squad again, but faces opposition from his junior Thorat (Ashutosh Rana), who wants to become the chief. Sadhu and his team start targeting the gangsters of Rauf (Jahangir Khan) and Rawale (Raj Zutshi), who are involved in various illegal activities. Meanwhile, Sadhu also develops a friendship with Shalu Dixit (Gul Panag), a crime reporter who wants to write a book on encounter cops.
Things take a turn for the worse when Sadhu's son is shot by Rauf's men while walking on the beach. Sadhu captures Rauf and tortures him for information. Rauf reveals that Rawale has been hired by someone close to Sadhu to assassinate the chief minister Anna Saheb (Dilip Prabhawalkar), who is known for his honesty and integrity. Sadhu realizes that he has been betrayed by someone he trusted and sets out to stop Rawale and expose the mastermind behind the conspiracy.
