Car running hot in Dubai traffic – should I just flush the coolant or get pressure tested first?
I've noticed my 2015 Altima's temperature gauge creeping up when I'm stuck in stop and go on Sheikh Zayed Road, especially in the afternoon heat. The coolant level looks fine and I don't see any visible leaks under the car, but I'm worried there might be a small crack in the radiator or a head gasket issue starting. A friend told me not to just dump new coolant in without knowing if the system holds pressure properly. I've been looking into a proper car coolant flush and radiator pressure testing service to actually diagnose the problem instead of guessing. Found Royal Prince Auto Care while searching for radiator replacement in Dubai, and they mention pressure testing on their page. Has anyone here had a similar overheating scare that turned out to be just old coolant or a stuck thermostat? I'm trying to avoid a big repair bill but also don't want to ignore something that could leave me stranded. Also curious if a pressure test is something any shop can do or if I need a specialist. Any advice would be great before summer really hits.
